The Peruvian Association of Incoming and Domestic Tour Operators (Apotur), committed to promoting Peru as a destination and in coordination with the airline Volaris, has organized the visit of an important delegation of tour operators from Costa Rica from June 27 to 30, in order to increase the flow of tourists from that Central American country in our national territory. The group is made up of twelve participants: eleven of the main wholesalers and agencies from San José, Costa Rica that sell or have the potential to sell Peru.
Among the personalities who will visit our country are managers of wholesale companies and travel agencies, as well as a representative of the airline Volaris who will accompany the group. The program includes a visit to the city of Lima, ending with a business meeting (workshop), on the morning of June 30.
According to official figures, the number of Costa Rican tourists who visited Peru totaled 2,618 visitors in 2021. It is worth remembering that last year, with the inaugural Volaris flight, important wholesalers and travel agencies from Costa Rica visited us with the purpose of seeing “in situ” the benefits that Peru has and strengthening commercial relations.
According to the business association, Costa Rica is an important market for Peru, taking into account that the presence of Costa Rican tourists in the different parts of our national territory is extremely noticeable.
Finally, Apotur reaffirms its commitment to continue holding events that promote commercial relations between national companies and their international counterparts in order to contribute to the reactivation of tourism.
